6 days in #Dubai. The most epic six days, ever. Dubai is unlike anywhere else on this planet. Well known for its bold architecture, shopping haven and ambitious futuristic vision, we quickly fell in love with Dubai as soon as we left the airport. Before we travelled to Dubai, we did a fair amount of research looking for the best locations to shoot, where to go, what to eat and how to navigate the culture while we were there. Everyday we planned at least 5 different locations and woke up at 5AM, so we didn’t waste a single moment. Visit the old town in Dubai, Al Bastakiya for a cultural experience you’ll never forget. Watch the amazing underwater zoo at the famous Dubai mall. Catch sunrise at the rooftop of Shangri-La hotel located along the famed Sheikh Zayed Road. Such a popular location for photographers, but I’ve never seen anything like it. Another place you could catch sunrise at is the beach of Fairmont The Palm. If possible, we highly recommend going on a desert safari. Ride the camels, go sandbording, or just enjoy the massive dunes and the beautiful sunsets of the Dubai desert. Wander through the exotic buildings and resorts at DIFC, and remember to bring your camera (just watch out for the signs where they don’t allow photography.) If you find yourselves hungry after a long day outside, consider dinner at the amazing restaurant Mina Brasserie at Four Seasons DIFC Hotel. If you really want to be amazed, you should go see the view of the city from the observation deck of the Burj Khalifa. Also make sure to take in some authentic Dubai culture while you’re there – get some Lebanese food, visit the old markets and try some spices and other goods they offer there.
